The McConnell Heart Hospital, a 178,000 square foot, $42,000,000 addition for Riverside Methodist Hospital, accomplished multiple goals for the hospital - to provide new Emergency Department, develop a world-class Heart Hospital, and create a new revenue stream by providing new medical space for lease. This was accomplished by placing all programs into one new, six-story addition, with the Emergency Department on the ground level, the Heart Hospital a quick elevator ride up to floors two and three, and Medical Office Building space on floors four through six.
